What does the license allow?
Lifetime use of the font on an unlimited number of the licensee’s devices and projects.
Production of commercial and personal work for identity, advertising, packaging, publishing, print, screens, video, and digital content.
Creation of logos, headings, images, and finalized assets either as static files or embedded in a way that does not allow extraction of the font file.
Keeping a secure backup copy and using updates we provide for the purchased family.
Who is the licensee?
The licensee is the person or entity named on the purchase document. Their team and employees may use the font for its work. A client or a separate company that needs the font file for ongoing use requires a license in its own name.
What is not permitted?
Selling, renting, gifting, sharing, uploading to a public repository, or otherwise providing the font file to an unlicensed party.
Redistributing the font inside a template, app, site, or document in a way that allows extraction or reuse.
Modifying, reverse‑engineering, reengineering, converting the font format, or removing ownership metadata without written consent.
Using the font to train a model that generates fonts or mimics its design, or to create a competing type product.
Claiming ownership of the typeface design itself or registering it as a separate trademark; a logo or final work made with the font may be trademarked per applicable law.
Formats and embedding
The default delivery format is OTF unless a product page states otherwise. TTF, WOFF, WOFF2 or EOT can be requested; their availability and permitted usage depend on the font and project. Web fonts must be protected against direct access and unauthorized extraction.
Exclusive fonts and bespoke services
Exclusive licenses, private naming, adding languages or glyphs, custom type design from scratch, design‑to‑font services and reprogramming designer fonts are subject to a separate proposal and agreement that define ownership, scope and delivery.
Ownership and termination
Design, engineering and intellectual property rights remain with RTLtype or the rightsholder as indicated. The license terminates upon breach of its terms and failure to remedy after notice; upon termination use must stop and files must be deleted. These terms do not affect rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
